I learned and practiced proper infectious disease control protocol through dental instrument and procedure room sterilization at Clear Choice Dental Implant Center. I worked directly with the Head of Infection Control to understand the intricacies of using the equipment and the ways to prevent cross-contamination during sterilization. I learned the importance of personal protective equipment and sterilization as it protects not only the doctor but also the patients. By following sterilization protocol, patient care is improved and the risk of infection transmission and mortalities caused by poor sanitation and infectious diseases decrease. Protecting patients, doctors, and staff during oral care or procedural visits through safe health practices contributes to keeping the public healthy.
