Presenter: Lillyanna House, Plant Biology, Global Public Health Scholars
For my practicum project, I worked as a data analyst for the Together Program at the UMD School of Public Health. The Together Program holds sessions to help couple's improve their relationship as well as their financial situations. At the end of every class, couples are given a homework assignment to take home along with a survey to turn in before they leave. Each survey is the same and is basically a reflection of how the class is going for the participants. Suggestions for improvements and any further comments are also able to be collected through the surveys. My role as a data analyst was to gather and organize all of the data that was collected to make it easier to interoperate. After that was completed, I would make a neat and concise summary of the data to present to the rest of the Together Program Team.
I really like your project and thanks for all the work you put into it! You said that you had qualitative data that you sorted through, how did you summarize and present the qualitative data? Was your end product like a presentation or more so of a report? Thanks again!
This project is so great! It is very well organized and you described what you did very clearly. It is so interesting to hear about organizations within the University of Maryland that are involved with the local community. It is so great an organization like this seeks to help local couples that are struggling.
Great job on your project! How do people hear about this program and how can a program like this help a couple's financial situation? Are there more programs like this in multiple states or is it only one main program?
