My practicum project involves working with the DC Central Kitchen in order to help the people who are less fortunate and are in need of meals. While this group does help feed the less fortunate, they also try to help these groups of people by trying to keep them self-sustaining, so that they do not need this Kitchen to constantly help them. They are trying to break this cycle of poverty and help those people get on their feet and stay on their feet. I plan on helping prepare food for the kitchen, while also learning how we can help people break the cycle of poverty.
