For my practicum I worked as an ambassador for a non-profit organization, Evolving Minds. Evolving Minds is a mental health organization which teaches students helpful mental health exercises that can be implemented at any point in ones life. Exercises include practicing a mindful pause, gratitude, and compassion. I worked with a group of about six other students and together we learned the skills. It was then my job to take the skills I learned and implement them into a community of my choosing. In this particular case I worked with my family teaching, and practicing the skills with them.
Will the participants be checked up on in the future? How can it be measured whether or not these activities helped the participants' mental health?
Do you think your experience would have changed if you met in person instead of virtually due to COVID-19?
